The video below was made by my niece, Chloe. She and her mom, my sister Julie, are the engineers of the sustainable farming practices that make Farmer Girl Meats so much more than just a grass fed beef farm.
That’s right, two more Farmer Girls on a mission. And you though Farmer Girl Meats was just a nice name…
Together, Chloe and Julie manage our land and our herd on Mettenburg Farm using Holistic Management, a specialized system designed to revitalize and restore the vitally important and endagered North American Tallgrass Prairie.
Chloe’s travelled the world in search of her calling, seeking out how and where she can make the most impact with her passion for positive change. She first discovered Holistic Management in Zimbabwe when she was 17. As you’ll see in her video below, that’s when she was first introduced to the very real damage that environmental neglect can have not just to the planet, but to the people that rely on it.
Since then, Chloe’s devoted her studies, her voice, her sweat and her mind to climate justice. She’s an integral part of the Farmer Girl Meats mission, and will surely make a difference in the future of our food system.
